This presentation will:

  1. Describe what a citizen scientist is and why they are so important.
  2. Tell you what materials / knowledge you may need
  3. Show several projects and how easy it is to participate
  4. Depending on the surroundings, allow the group to become citizen scientists for a project
    1. Learn how to collect data
    2. Collect data
    3. Report data
  5. Offer handouts to participants with links to the projects discussed and additional offerings
  6. Finish up with Q&A

Cofounder of ME4E (Multidisciplinary Education for the Environment). Non-formal educator about the environment since 1994. BA in Environmental Studies from Cornell College. Awarded the Greenest Policy Holder for esurance in 2006.
