Paul and Beth will be discussing the benefits of the Water Star Program as a voluntary, no-cost, self-assessment tool. We'll go through how the program was developed, its vigorous requirements, and how it works. We'll explain how it shows how each community compares throughout the state with others. We'll explain the gold, silver, or bronze ratings and the benefits to a municipality in going through the Water Star process.

Bio: 

Paul Moderacki is the Administrator for the Village of Mukwonago, in Waukesha County. Trained as a leader in the Natural Step Framework, he was also instrumental in Mukwonago's being designated as a silver Water Star Community.

Beth Gehred works as Issue Team liaison for Town and Country RC&D. She helped in the development of the Water Star program and assisted in its successful pilot and launch this Earth Day, 2010.
